08 International data transfers
QuickShip operates a global network, and your information may be processed in Canada and in other countries where we or our partners operate, including the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, India, and Australia. Data protection laws in these countries may differ from those in your home jurisdiction.
When we transfer personal information across borders, we put appropriate safeguards in place, such as contractual protections including standard contractual clauses, and we transfer only what is necessary to provide the service and clear your shipments.
09 Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain your account, and fulfil the purposes described in this policy. We also retain certain records to meet legal, customs, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution requirements. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
10 How we protect your information
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, and alteration, including access controls, encryption in transit, and vetting of the providers we work with. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Request portability of information you provided to us.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 16. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity first.
If you have a concern we have not resolved, you may lodge a complaint with a regulator: in Canada, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your provincial authority; in the EU or UK, your local supervisory authority.
12 Marketing communications and choices
We send commercial messages only where permitted, including in line with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in the message, opt out of marketing texts by replying STOP as described in our SMS Terms, or contact us directly. Even if you opt out of marketing, we may still send you essential service and transactional messages about your account and active shipments.
13 Children’s privacy
Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
